Lognote records both sides of your calls on your Mac, transcribes them on-device, and lands a structured summary — action items, decisions, open questions — straight in your Obsidian vault. Yours to keep, edit, and pipe anywhere.
Your audio stays
on your Mac.
Transcription runs on-device with MLX-Whisper, accelerated on your Mac's GPU via Metal. Your audio file never touches a server — ours or anyone else's. No upload, no background sync, no telemetry on what you said.
AI summaries are optional. Plug in your own key when you want summaries; skip them and you still get the full transcript. Either way, the raw recording never leaves the device.
Mic and system audio.
Lognote taps into your Mac's audio system itself — so you capture everything you hear, not just the noise from your mic. If something on your machine is making sound, lognote can transcribe it.
